Laminitis Help That Works For Your Horse/Pony

Laminitis, Founder, Insulin Resistance,  words no horse owner likes to hear. In my practice as a Naturopath & Homeopath I am pretty sure the worst case I ever was called to was a friends horse who was sweating, seizuring and sprawled out in her stall. The veterinarian was on another call to far away to get there in time.

I arrive, see this poor pony in horrible pain. In my lifetime, I have seen horses rocked back on their hooves, shaking in pain but still able to stand. I have witnessed horses who have been in the Vet hospital for over 4 months with hoof resections, but nothing this bad.

You see in this particular case there was no way to get this mare on her feet. Her left front leg was sticking straight out and literally bouncing off of the stall floor from that strong of a bounding pulse.

How did this happen to her? Earlier she escaped out of the barn into a lovely field of pure clover and was there for a few hours. As I entered her stall concerned parents and friends had their chairs parked in the stall sitting right beside this mare.

We took her temperature, her respirations were high and her owner in tears, scared. I began to give homeopathic remedies that I knew would calm the bounding pulse, prevent her from going into shock, and help prevent her stomach from ulcerations due to the stress and severely high sugar intake. But even with all of that, I knew I needed more and I had my arsenal with me.

Having watched cases of laminitis, founder, IR I created a product that would prevent this, taste great and work immediately. Quickly I grabbed the Gooseberry Cinnabalance and Gooseberry Stomach balance and a 30ml syringe.

As I prepared the mixture of Cinnabalance, Stomach Balance and water in the syringe, I turned to the concerned family sitting in their chairs and recommended they move their chairs and selves from the barn stall. The familiar look of "Huh?" was all to evident. So I took a moment to explain. "When i syringe this combination I created in this mare's mouth, by the second dose she will be standing on her feet." Within 20 minutes of standing she will be urinating what looks like dark brown pee that will smell for miles. After that she will then try to run for the grass again. So it would be a really good idea if you all were out of the way. If you don't believe me, stay where you are. But you won't be able to say I didn't warn you." They stayed put.

I can actually understand why the stayed put. It was from the expectation that this was going to take a while for this horse. That she wasn't coming out of it so well. They loved this mare and were very concerned.

As I walked over with the first syringe and gently gave her the first 30ml of Cinnabalance and Stomach Balance the mare took it slowly. I waited about 5 minutes. During that 5 minutes she stopped panting hard, seizing and respirations began to normalize. I checked her front left leg, she was beginning to bend it. She looked dead at me, as if to say I need more of that stuff. So I gave her another 30ml syringe orally.

I gave her one last set of Homeopathics and turned to everyone in the barn saying "you might want to move those chairs now." Just as I said that the mare started moving to get up, chairs scattered everywhere. She stood up, shook, and about 5 minutes later pee'd the strongest smelling urine.

She was on her way to recovery. Most horses would have probably rotated their coffin bone in this situation. I knew she would be ok. I left instructions with my friend on the aftercare and left. The Veterinarian came about 45 minutes later, took bloodwork and x-rayed.

This is where I am very pleased to say....glucose levels were normal, no rotation. This mare stayed on Gooseberry products as a preventative at 1/4 tsp per day of Gooseberry Cinnabalance and 4oz of Stomach Balance.

To this day 6 years later she has not had any laminitis issues. She is out on grass every day.

I hope you enjoyed this true story. Let me know if I can be of any assistance with your horsey concerns. Remember I am not diagnosing treating or prescribing. I am teaching you how to use Medically patented nutrition to help your horse.
